About Us
Bob Salisbury Engineering principally designs and builds replica show cars and simulators. Established in 1996, the company has recently completed a move to brand new premises at Millfield Business Park in Pattishall just a few miles north of Towcester off the A5. Exciting times ahead for the company as we are currently working on exciting new projects, details of which we will be announcing in the coming months!
The core business has always been motor sport oriented, reflecting the racing history of founder and Managing Director, Bob Salisbury.
With experience of over five decades in the motor sport industry, gained during his years as a racing driver, race engineer and team owner, Bob’s understanding of the mechanical and technical side of the business is respected by colleagues, competitors and customers alike.
A Family Business
Responsible for the day-to-day running of the company is Bob’s daughter, Jessie. She grew up around the motor racing circuits of Europe with her father, and mother, Maggie who herself raced in the 1960s.
It was almost inevitable that Jessie would end up following her parents into the industry.
Her professional career includes a 10 year term at the Benetton Formula 1 Team where she worked in race team operations, PR and eventually senior marketing account management.
The Future
In 2012, the company recruited Michael Walker, Jessie’s step-son, as Production Manager, further strengthening the family element of the business. Michael has worked his way up through the motor racing ranks having worked for Arden (GP2), Mofaz (WSR), Starworks (WEC), Marussia (F1). He has gained a wealth of technical experience in the industry during this time and his acute attention to detail and high standards make him a valued addition to the organisation.
The team is supported by a number of mechanics and technicians from a variety of backgrounds who make up the diverse team at Bob Salisbury Engineering. The company has grown to its present level over a number of years and can offer a wide range of services, most with a motorsport and engineering bias. We have a core engineering foundation but the flexibility of our set-up allows us to take on a variety of engineering challenges from small prototype projects through to multi show car and simulator builds. All delivered to the highest standard.
